Job Description:
Kitchen work at SUMIYA Shinjuku, a hideaway style Italian bar in Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo. Kitchen staff are the main recruitment, covering food preparation, cooking and dishwashing. Shifts are flexible, so working weekends only or from the evening is possible, and there is no overtime. Shifts run on a two week cycle, submitted 10 days before the start and confirmed 5 days before, with flexible handling of schedule changes. Free staff meals (まかない makanai) are provided and hair colour and hairstyle are free. Students adjust their shifts around exam periods and school festivals and work more during long holidays. Wages can be paid in cash in hand (手渡し tewatashi), though this does not remove the income from tax reporting, and shifts can be adjusted to stay within the dependant allowance. Promotion to full time employee is available.

Fixed shift pattern of 3 or more days a week including breaks of 8 hours or more pays 1,350円 or more, with a training rate of 1,300円 for about two months.
