Job Description:
This is a convenience store staff role at FamilyMart Yanaka, a 4-minute walk from Nishi-Nippori Station in Taito Ward, Tokyo, operated by a company running 39 stores with over 400 staff. Duties cover all general store operations: cashier, product ordering, shelf display, and cleaning. Five shift options are available spanning all hours from 05:00 through to 22:00, plus an overnight deep-night slot (22:00-08:00) and a shorter late slot (22:00-00:00). The deep-night rate from 22:00 to 05:00 is 1,533 yen per hour (深夜手当 shinya-teate), including the statutory 25% premium; the same rate applies during the 30-day training period. Shifts are set weekly on a fully flexible request basis; as little as 1 hour per shift is accepted. Contract staff and full-time employment are also available -- mention your interest at interview. Late-night shifts (22:00-05:00) are for applicants aged 18 and over only (Japanese labour law).
