Job Description:

This is a retail sales staff role at a well-known upscale Kobe-founded confectionery brand inside Shizuoka Matsuzakaya department store, just 3 minutes walk from Shizuoka Station. The brand is famous for its glass-jar pudding and is popular for gifts and souvenirs, so customer interaction often involves helping people choose presents for loved ones — a rewarding environment where you will frequently hear direct thanks from customers. Duties span the full store day: pre-opening preparation (product display, register setup, cleaning), in-store sales, wrapping, cashier, and stock management, through to closing tasks (sales reconciliation, inventory check, and tidying). Beautiful gift-wrapping technique and department-store-level service etiquette are skills you will develop naturally on the job — no prior wrapping experience is needed. Shifts run on a rotating system within approximately 08:30-20:00, working 7.5 hours per day including a 1-hour break, 4 to 5 days per week including weekends and public holidays. Transport allowance is fully covered, and the Daimaru Matsuzakaya 10% staff shopping discount applies at all group stores.
