Job Description:

This is a cooking assistant role at a licensed nursery school (認可保育園 ninka-hoikuen) in Kawagoe, Saitama, serving approximately 60 children. The kitchen operates with a 3-person team preparing daily meals for the children; a cooperative, mutually supportive working style is emphasised. Shifts start at 08:30 and can run from a 5-hour morning shift (08:30-13:30) up to a 6.5-hour day (08:30-16:00 with a 60-minute break) — the exact hours can be discussed to match your availability. Days off include Sundays, public holidays, and the year-end / New Year period (29 December to 3 January), with at least 2 days off per week. A cooking qualification (調理師免許 chourishi-menkyo or equivalent) is required for this role.
