Job Description:
Work at FamilyMart Tengachaya-Kita Icchoume-ten in Nishinari-ku, Osaka, a neighbourhood convenience store that is a daily fixture for local residents, offering the full range of combini (konbini) services. Duties include cashier work, fast food preparation (nikuman, yakitori, Famichiki), shelf stocking and display, store cleaning, and product ordering — building a complete set of convenience store skills over time. Two shift options are available: a long daytime slot (05:00–22:00) and a dedicated overnight slot (22:00–05:00), with the night shift attracting a statutory late-night allowance (深夜手当 shinya-teate) of 1,472 yen/hour. International students are welcome; JLPT N3 or above is required as customer service and store operations are conducted in Japanese, and Japanese proficiency will be confirmed at interview. A training period of 30 days applies with no change to the base wage, and promotion to full-time staff — including a store manager track with monthly salary of 250,000 yen or more — is available.
