Job Description:

This is a cooking staff role in the kitchen of Jichi Medical University Hospital in Shimotsuke, Tochigi, opening in November. You will prepare and cook meals based on recipes designed by the hospital nutritionists, plate the dishes, and handle ingredient prep work. A modern cooking system is installed, making the work efficient and consistent, and hospital meals are treated as part of patient treatment. The site employs around 140 staff in total, with roughly 40 people working on each meal service; the atmosphere is described as family-like and cooperative. A cooking licence (調理師免許 chourishi-menkyo) is required, but no work experience is needed. Advance payment (給与前払い kyuuyo-maebarai) is available for shifts worked from January 2026 onwards, subject to conditions. Shifts and working days are flexible and can be discussed, including short hours within tax-exemption limits. Uniform is provided (制服貸与 seifuku-taiyo), and a staff points system offers rewards exchangeable for food, appliances, and other goods.
