Job Description:
Work as convenience store staff at FamilyMart Fuchu Koremasa in Fuchu, Tokyo. Duties cover general store work including register operation, product ordering, building the sales floor displays and cleaning. Convenience stores are part of everyday life in the neighbourhood, so you hear plenty of thank yous from customers. Three shift patterns are offered: 08:00 to 17:00, 17:00 to 21:00 and an overnight 22:00 to 07:00 block. You can work from just 1 day a week and 2 hours a day, with two days off per week under the shift system. Breaks are 45 minutes for shifts over 6 hours and 1 hour for shifts of 8 hours or more. Training (研修 kenshuu) runs for 30 days at 1,226円 per hour, rising to 1,300円 afterwards for daytime shifts. Transport costs are fully covered, a uniform (制服 seifuku) is loaned, and car, motorbike and bicycle commuting are all permitted.

Daytime rate rises to 1,300円 or more per hour after the 30 day training period, including for high school students. Early morning 05:00 to 07:00 slot pays 1,226円 or more. Late-night allowance (深夜手当 shinya-teate): 1,533円 or more per hour for the 22:00 to 05:00 period, including during training. Salary increase system.
