Job Description:
Hall and kitchen work at Komeda Coffee near Gifu Station, a full-service coffee house chain that began in Nagoya. Hall duties are showing customers to their seats, taking orders, serving dishes and clearing tables. Kitchen duties are making coffee and other drinks and preparing light meals, including the signature Shironoir dessert. Senior staff support you closely, so people with no experience can learn proper coffee house hospitality from the start. Shifts fall between 06:30 and 22:30 with a minimum of four hours a day and two days a week, and requests are accommodated where possible. Weekend and public holiday shifts pay an extra 50 yen per hour, and weekend-only patterns are accepted. The training period (研修 kenshuu) covers the first 100 hours at 1,070 yen, after which the standard rate applies and freeters earn 1,250 yen. Many senior staff work here alongside younger colleagues, and promotion to full-time employee is available.
