Job Description:
Kitchen assistant work inside the kitchen at Todaiji Welfare Hospital in Nara, on the middle shift. Duties are preparing, plating and serving the meals designed by the hospital's cooks and dietitians. No technique or experience is needed since you start with simple tasks, supported by careful instruction from staff and a proper training system (研修 kenshuu). Hospital meals form part of patient treatment, so the kitchen focuses on consistent quality using original recipes and a modern cooking system. Hours are 08:30 to 17:30 with a 60 minute break, working from three days a week, and both hours and days are negotiable. Weekend and public holiday shifts are welcomed, and schedules can be adjusted as family circumstances change. An advance payment service (前払い maebarai) is available for shifts worked from January 2026 onward, subject to conditions. Staff meals (まかない makanai), a loaned uniform (制服 seifuku) and a points scheme exchangeable for food and appliances are all included.
