Job Description:

Guest room cleaning and bed making at a business hotel in Nakasu Nakashima-cho, four minutes on foot from Nakasu-Kawabata Station. Duties are changing sheets and pillowcases, making beds, vacuuming rooms, wiping down desks and bathrooms, restocking amenities and collecting rubbish. There is no customer service at all, so the role suits anyone who prefers to concentrate quietly on the work. You start paired with a senior member of staff, cleaning four or five rooms a day together while they teach you the professional shortcuts, with support until you can work alone. The shift is a short 10:00 to 15:30 with five hours of actual work and a 30 minute break, working four to five days a week on a shift system. Finishing at 15:30 makes this popular with people working while their children are at school or holding a second job. An advance payment system (前払い maebarai) lets you draw earned wages, in some cases collected from a convenience store ATM the same day.
