Job Description:
Join the opening team at a new Bamiyan Chinese restaurant in central Hiroshima, working on the floor or in the kitchen. Floor duties are seating guests, taking orders through a digital menu book, carrying dishes and handling the register, which calculates automatically when you scan the bill. Kitchen duties start with washing up and cooking assistance, and full cooking is taught once you are used to the work. Training (研修 kenshuu) begins with a touch-panel manual and videos rather than facing customers straight away, followed by one-to-one training with a senior member of staff. Morning and late-night shifts are especially wanted, and shifts run from 2 hours a day and 2 days a week with times negotiable. Staff meals (まかない makanai) are available at 356 yen per meal, up to twice a day, and a 25 percent group discount voucher is given monthly. A same-week advance payment system (前払い maebarai) lets you receive up to 70 percent of what you have already worked, applied for from your phone. The store is a 3 minute walk from Hondori tram stop, and a limited-time rate of 1,250円 or more applies until 30 September.

Limited-time rate of 1,250円 or more until 30 September, after which the normal rate is 1,150円 or more. Late-night allowance (深夜手当 shinya-teate) of 1,563円 or more for hours after 22:00. No wage change during training. Pay rises of 10-70 yen on average, four times a year, with monthly promotion chances. Points system giving 30 points per hour on weekends, public holidays and busy periods, with an extra 30 points per hour in busy weekends, usable at Skylark restaurants at 1 point equals 1 yen.
