Job Description:
Prepare and serve meals in the restaurant of a SOMPO Care senior living residence in Funabashi. Duties are cooking, plating, assembling meal trays, washing dishes and cleaning the kitchen. A full recipe is provided for every meal, so no specialist knowledge or cooking qualification is needed and people with no experience can do this. Staff say their home cooking experience is useful here, and some take the menus home to try themselves. This is an early-morning shift running 06:00 to 09:30, with 3 hours 30 minutes of actual work, from 2 days a week. Days and hours are open to discussion, and weekend and public holiday shifts are welcome. Staff meals (食事補助 shokuji-hojo) are available at 110 yen for a main dish, rice and soup set, and transport allowance (交通費 koutsuuhi) is paid up to 50,000 yen a month. Parents are supported here, so if a child needs you at short notice, family comes first. Japanese at JLPT N3 level or equivalent is needed for everyday conversation, reading and writing.

1,200円 (per hour)
Early-morning premium of 100円 extra per hour between 05:00 and 08:00. The stated rate includes the work satisfaction allowance, revised June 2026 and varying by region; those enrolled in social insurance receive a further 50円. Overtime allowance paid separately. Pay rises of 15-100円, available at any time. Monthly salary payment.
