Job Description:
Work as convenience store staff at a Lawson near the Hachijo exit of Kyoto Station, on a track towards becoming a full-time employee. You start by learning the whole range of store work: the register, customer service and sales, arranging displays, restocking, cleaning, making POP displays, food preparation and product ordering. As you become more skilled you step up to sub-leader and then leader crew, taking on responsibilities such as training new staff. No qualifications or experience are needed, and in the longer term you can aim to become a store manager or owner. Four slots cover early morning through to overnight, from 3 hours a day and 1 day a week. Weekday-only, weekend-only, Sunday-and-holiday-only or Saturday-only patterns are all possible. The store is about 9 minutes walk from Kyoto Station, so commuting is easy in any weather, and motorbike and bicycle commuting are permitted.
Wage:
1,122円~1,403円 (per hour) Early morning 06:00-09:00 pays 1,150円 per hour. Late-night allowance (深夜手当 shinya-teate) of 1,403円 per hour on the 22:00-06:00 shift. Progression to sub-leader and leader crew positions.
