Job Description:

Join the opening team at a new izakaya in Uomachi, Kokura, opening on 8 September. Duties are hall and kitchen work: serving customers, bringing out drinks and dishes, and simple plating. You start on the floor to get used to the atmosphere and then take on kitchen work as well. The most important part of the job is greeting customers cheerfully with a smile, and both experienced and inexperienced applicants are welcome. At the group's other branches many university students from Kitakyushu University and Kyushu Institute of Technology are working. Opening hours are 14:00 to 24:00 and you tell them which hours you want; shifts start from 3 hours a day and 1 day a week, made up every two weeks, with no overtime. Finishing in time for the last bus or working after class are both fine, and weekday-only or Saturday-only patterns can be discussed. Wages are paid in cash in hand (手渡し tewatashi), and staff meals (まかない makanai) are provided. Hair style and colour, nails, piercings and beards are all free as long as you look clean and tidy. Applicants under 18 can work until 22:00 only.

Wage:

1,100円 (per hour) Hourly rate varies with experience and skill. Pay rise system. Wages paid in cash in hand. Example monthly earnings: 44,000 yen for 5 hours a day 2 days a week, or 176,000 yen for 8 hours a day 5 days a week.
