Job Description:
Support the guest rooms at the Imperial Hotel Tokyo, handling two main duties across the day with no direct customer service. In the morning you handle minibar work, restocking and managing the drinks, alcohol and snacks in guest room fridges and cabinets. In the afternoon you do inspection, the final check of rooms after cleaning, working through a checklist for odours, stray hairs and dust, and the position and quantity of room supplies. You walk around the building and carry restocking drinks, so the work keeps you moving. The hotel opened in 1890 and receives around 10,000 visitors a day across accommodation, restaurants and weddings. Training (研修 kenshuu) is one-to-one with a senior member of staff and covers the hotel's history, service manners and presentation from the basics. Hours are fixed at 09:00 to 17:00 with a 60 minute break, 5 days a week including weekends, with almost no overtime. There is a staff canteen, employee discount, relaxation room with massage, member resort facilities, lockers, and qualification support. A training period of 2 months at 1,440円 applies, with a trial period of up to two and a half months. Applicants must be high school graduates or above and hold a residence status that does not require renewal.
