Job Description:

Kitchen work at Hocho Ippon Ajidokoro Nagomi, a seafood izakaya five minutes from Senri-Chuo Station. You start with simple plating and cutting ingredients, then gradually take on single dishes and the fryer station. Knife handling and the different types of fish are taught from scratch, so no restaurant experience is needed. Two shift types are available: a prep shift in the afternoon and the main evening service shift. Staff stay a long time here, averaging over three years, and the manager keeps a close, open relationship with the team. The restaurant is busy and lively, and greetings and basic manners are taken seriously. Staff meals (まかない makanai) made from fresh ingredients are included, which saves a lot for people living alone. Wages are paid in cash in hand (手渡し tewatashi) with an advance payment (前払い maebarai) option, and hair colour, nails and piercings are free.

Wage:

1,200円～1,250円 (per hour) Applicants with a year or more of izakaya service experience start at 1,250円 per hour. Shifts from 22:00 are paid at 25 percent above the base rate. Training period of 3 months, varying with experience, is paid at 1,180円 per hour. A thank-you allowance is paid when you can recommend dishes or take on more responsibility, and busy-period, New Year and effort awards are also available. Some staff are on 1,500円 per hour.
