Job Description:

This is a guest room inspection and housekeeping support role at Rihga Royal Hotel Kokura, a landmark hotel in Kitakyushu City, a 3-minute walk from Kokura Station. The role centres on final quality checks of cleaned rooms before guests check in — inspecting for lingering odours, stains, and any other issues, and performing remedial work such as deodorising and stain removal as needed. Additional duties include delivering items requested by in-stay guests (amenities, extra bedding, etc.), collecting laundry from occupied rooms, and handling room defect reports. The hotel has 295 rooms and the busiest period is before the 15:00 check-in window — some physical stamina is helpful as the role involves moving between floors throughout the shift. The shift runs 10:00 to 18:30 with breaks included. A minimum of 4 days per week is expected, with at least 4-5 weekend and public holiday shifts per month required. Exact scheduling is managed through a monthly self-declaration system. A training period applies at the same hourly rate. Salary increases of 30-50 yen are awarded based on skill development. A restaurant half-price voucher is available twice a year.
