Job Description:

This is a hall and kitchen staff role at Marugame Seimen Kashihara, a popular udon chain (うどん屋 udon-ya) serving freshly made udon, tempura, and rice dishes in a casual, family-friendly atmosphere. Weekday customers are largely local office workers, while weekends draw family groups and neighbourhood regulars, keeping the pace lively but warm. Kitchen duties include boiling and plating udon, preparing tempura and onigiri to recipe, takeout order preparation, and dishwashing using an industrial dishwasher. Hall duties include welcoming guests, register operation with automated change machines, tray collection, and keeping the dining area clean. Shifts run from as early as 08:30 on weekends to 23:00 daily -- late-night shifts from 22:00 attract a 25% wage premium (深夜手当 shinya-teate) under Japanese labour law. Staff meals (まかない makanai) are available at 120 yen per meal up to 800 yen worth of food, and a family canteen card provides up to 10,000 yen per month for employees with children aged 15 and under. Transport allowance is paid up to 50,000 yen per month; car and motorbike commuting are permitted with fuel costs reimbursed within company guidelines. A minimum contract of 3 months is expected. This role requires native-level or near-native Japanese for customer service; JLPT N2 or equivalent is the stated minimum.

Wage:
