Job Description:

This is a hall and kitchen staff role at Marugame Seimen Wakaba Walk, a popular udon chain (うどん屋 udon-ya) on the second floor of the Wakaba Walk shopping centre in Tsurugashima, Saitama, a 1-minute walk from Wakaba Station east exit. The shift window runs from 08:00 to 22:00, covering morning through evening -- no overnight or deep-night hours are required. Kitchen duties include boiling and plating udon to order, preparing tempura and rice dishes, and dishwashing using an industrial machine; hall duties include welcoming guests, register operation, tray collection, and keeping the dining area and cooking stations clean. No experience is required -- step-by-step training (研修 kenshuu) and a full recipe manual are provided, and the work is divided into focused tasks so beginners can start from a position that suits their strengths. Staff meals (まかない makanai) are available at 120 yen per meal up to 800 yen worth of food, and a family canteen card provides up to 10,000 yen per month for employees with children aged 15 and under. Transport allowance is paid up to 50,000 yen per month within company guidelines; motorbike commuting is permitted with fuel costs reimbursed. A minimum contract of 3 months is expected, with shift days and hours negotiable on a weekly basis from a minimum of 2 days per week and 3 hours per shift. This role requires native-level or near-native Japanese communication skills for customer service.
