Job Description:

You will work as a sales and customer service staff member at a long-established Hakata specialty souvenir shop inside Hakata Station, selling mentaiko (spiced cod roe), mentaiko-flavoured confectionery, and Fukuoka regional gifts to travellers. Duties include counter service and product recommendations tailored to customers' needs, gift wrapping (rapping ラッピング), product display and stock management, and opening and closing preparations. The store is directly connected to Hakata Station with no outdoor walking required, making commuting easy even on rainy days. Working hours are within 09:00-21:00 for 7-8 hours per shift with a 1-hour break; a minimum of 4 days per week is required. Prior retail or customer service experience is an advantage. An advance pay system (maewatashi 前払い) is available - same-day receipt via convenience store ATM is possible in some cases. Transport allowance is paid for commutes of 2 km or more. An outstanding staff award of 30,000 yen is given annually, and a referral bonus of 60,000 yen each is available for both the introducer and the person introduced.
