Job Description:

This is a condominium building caretaker and cleaning role in Mita 3-chome, Minato-ku, Tokyo, 5 minutes walk from Mita Station, covering a structured daily routine of shared area cleaning, resident reception duties, and daily reporting. Tasks include morning building inspection and rubbish disposal, cleaning shared areas (entrance, corridors, staircases, windows, rubbish collection points, post boxes, elevators, and car park), responding to resident and visitor enquiries, preparing for the next day's rubbish disposal, and writing a brief daily report. The role balances focused solo cleaning with occasional interaction with residents, making it rewarding without being high-pressure. Full manuals and on-the-job training are provided; no prior building management experience is needed. Work runs Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday (4-5 days per week); Thursdays, Sundays, and some Saturdays are off. Hours are fixed at 08:00-16:00 (7 hours actual work, 60-minute break) with minimal overtime. After a minimum of 4 months as a dispatch worker, a switch to direct employment as a contract employee is possible (from 1,300 yen/hr; retirement age 72).
