Job Description:

This is a hall staff role at Akatonbo, a well-known family-run izakaya on Hoppy Street (ホッピー通り Hoppy-dori) in Asakusa — one of Tokyo's most visited tourist areas, regularly featured in media and busy with both domestic and international visitors. Work covers greeting guests and encouraging walk-in customers, taking orders, serving food and drinks (including making simple drinks — no cocktails, limited menu), and table cleaning. Disposable chopsticks and cups are used, so there is no dishwashing — a practical advantage for busy shifts. The store is compact enough to see the entire floor at a glance, and the limited menu is easy to memorise quickly. Pay is by hand cash (手渡し tewatashi), and salary increases of 50円 per hour are applied as you develop — significantly more than the typical 10円 increments elsewhere. The store is fully smoking-permitted and open to applicants aged 20 and over only. Closed on Tuesdays.

Wage:

1,500円 (per hour) Weekend and public holiday rate: 1,600円+/hour. Training period (2 weeks): base minus 100円/hour. Salary increases in 50円 increments based on performance.
