Job Description:

This is a kitchen staff role at OC Cafe, a cosy kissaten (喫茶店 kissaten) on the third floor of the Osaka Central Wholesale Market business management building in Fukushima-ku, where around 90% of customers are regulars from the market. Work involves cooking pasta, pilaf, and daily lunch specials (including frying), making coffee and tea, and dishwashing — all using an industrial dishwasher; recipes are straightforward with no complex techniques required. The pace of service is steady rather than rushed, and the intimate setting (10 table seats, 5 counter seats) means you can see the entire floor at a glance. Shifts run between 09:00-14:00 or 10:00-15:00 with a minimum of three hours per day and two days per week, ideal for mornings before school pick-up or family duties. The market follows its own calendar with Sundays, Wednesdays, Saturdays, and public holidays as rest days. Wages are paid by hand cash (手渡し tewatashi), and weekly payment can be discussed.

Wage:
