Job Description:

This is a cooking assistant position at a popular Japanese home-style deli (和そうざい waso-uzai) shop inside a department store basement in central Shizuoka, 3 minutes walk from Shizuoka Station. The shop's concept is everyday Japanese home cooking — simmered dishes, stir-fries, fried foods, and ready-made side dishes packed into bento boxes — following set recipes so each item comes out consistently. Regular menu items include simmered hijiki seaweed, spicy konjac, and grilled teriyaki flounder, with recipes provided for all items so no professional cooking background is required. Those who cook regularly at home are especially welcome, and many current staff are homemakers returning to work after a career gap (ブランク burannku). The shift runs 07:00-16:00, finishing early in the afternoon — well suited to early risers who prefer daytime hours. High school graduate or above is required.
