Job Description:

This is a kitchen staff position at Sakana Sakaba Uosei Himeji-Ekiminami, a seafood izakaya located inside Piole Himeji shopping complex, just 1 minute walk from JR Himeji Station. Kitchen duties start with simple tasks such as plating and washing up, then gradually progress to vegetable prep, knife work, frying, grilling assistance, and ingredient management as confidence builds. Working in a seafood izakaya (居酒屋 izakaya), you will naturally pick up knife skills and fish knowledge that are also useful for everyday cooking at home. Training (研修 kenshuu) covers 40 hours with instructional videos for each task — no prior cooking experience is necessary. Staff meals (まかない makanai) are available for 200 yen per meal, and daily payment (日払い hibarai), weekly payment (週払い shuubarai), and advance payment (前払い maebarai) options are all available. Shifts from 22:00 onward are for applicants aged 18 and over only (Japanese labour law). Minimum contract period of 3 months. Car and motorbike commuting accepted with parking on site.
