Job Description:
Work as hall or kitchen staff at Therumae (テルマエ), a viral self-serve izakaya in Sendai's Kokubuncho entertainment district, famous for its tap-style alcohol dispensers where customers pour their own drinks from faucets at the table. Because guests serve their own drinks via the self-server system and orders come in through mobile order (モバイルオーダー), the workload is lighter than a typical izakaya — less running to tables with drinks, fewer direct order interactions. Hall duties include seating guests, delivering food, and checkout. Kitchen staff handle ingredient prep (仕込み shikomi), simple cooking, and dishwashing. This is a third-phase opening, so it is a fresh team environment with a flat, relaxed atmosphere. Shifts are available across daytime, evening, and overnight slots — from just 3 hours and one day a week. A late-night allowance (深夜手当 shinya-teate) of 25% applies after 22:00, and overtime beyond 8 hours also receives a 25% premium. Shifts after 22:00 are for applicants aged 18 and over only (Japanese labour law). Staff meals (まかない makanai) are provided by kitchen staff and vary daily. Note: the uniform T-shirt costs 3,000 yen and is not returned on leaving.
Wage:
1,098円 (per hour)
Late-night premium (深夜手当 shinya-teate): 25% uplift after 22:00 (base 1,312円～1,562円 for shifts starting at or after 22:00). Overtime premium: 25% uplift after 8 hours worked in a day. Training period rate: 1,098円/hour (daytime), 1,297円/hour (late-night). Salary increase (昇給 shoukyuu) available based on performance.
