Duties include advising customers on over-the-counter medications and supplements, operating the register, restocking shelves, and cleaning — with no sales quotas set by head office. Compared to a drug store, the product volume is smaller, making the physical workload lighter according to current staff. The role is well-suited to those who want to maintain their registered seller qualification (管理者要件 kanrisha-youken) while working flexible hours around family, childcare, or nursing care commitments.
