Job Description:

This is a resort staff role at a historic 140-year-old inn in Izumo City, Shimane, located near Izumo Grand Shrine (出雲大社) — just 5 minutes walk from Izumo-Taisha-mae Station. Hall and general duties include serving breakfast and dinner (kaiseki cuisine), guest room guiding, front desk support, cleaning, and amenity preparation. Kitchen assistance covers vegetable cutting, plating, and dishwashing — no actual cooking required. Two shift patterns are available: morning-and-evening (06:30-10:30 / 17:30-21:30) or adjusted timings (06:00-10:00 / 17:00-21:00), with around 6-8 rest days per month. Live-in dormitory accommodation is provided free of charge in a private room with Wi-Fi, furnished appliances, access to the inn's large bath, and bicycle lending. A monthly meal allowance (食事手当 shokuji-teate) of 20,000 yen is paid in addition to the hourly wage. Late-night and overtime work earns a 25% increase. Daily and weekly payment (日払い hibarai / 週払い shuubarai) are available. Transportation costs are subsidised up to 30,000 yen on contract completion. This is a short-term resort position (契約期間 keiyaku-kikan up to 3 months), starting from 25 September 2026.
