Please confirm workplace location, payment method, shifts, and interview conditions directly with the employer before applying.
Job Description:
This is a hall and kitchen staff role at Manjuya Tsukamoto, a lively yakitori izakaya just 1 minute walk from Tsukamoto Station in Nishiyodogawa Ward, Osaka. Hall staff take orders via smartphone (no handwriting required), bring food and drinks to tables, handle payments, and clear tables — a simple, friendly flow that the owner-manager will teach you from scratch. Kitchen staff prepare side dishes and wash dishes using a dishwasher — no complex cooking required. A separate preparation shift (13:00-17:00) is also available for those who prefer daytime hours, involving vegetable cutting and skewering yakitori before opening. The atmosphere is casual and friendly — staff greet customers with "maido!" rather than formal phrases, and the manager is described by current staff as easy-going and approachable. Wages are paid cash in hand (手渡し tewatashi), with weekly payment (週払い shuubarai) also available on request. After 22:00 the rate rises by 25% to 1,550 yen per hour (深夜手当 shinya-teate). Free staff meals are provided — the manager encourages staff to eat as much as they like, including any dish on the menu. Hair colour, nail art, and piercings are all permitted (avoid overly elaborate styles). There is no minimum number of days required per week — zero days is fine during exam periods or holidays. Late-night shifts after 22:00 are for applicants aged 18 and over only (Japanese labour law).
