Please confirm workplace location, payment method, shifts, and interview conditions directly with the employer before applying.
Job Description:
This is a facility cleaning position at Kinparo, a traditional ryokan in central Kyoto one minute walk from Nishiki Market, 5 minutes walk from Kyoto-Kawaramachi Station on the Hankyu Kyoto Line. You will vacuum guest rooms and common areas, wipe down surfaces, and carry out general interior cleaning throughout the inn — familiar tasks closely resembling home cleaning, with no difficult techniques required. The workplace mainly hosts school trip groups, and staff play an important behind-the-scenes role in making those visits memorable for students. The shift runs within 09:00-15:00 (minimum 5 hours per shift) with no overtime, so you always finish by the early afternoon with the rest of your day free. Wages are paid in cash by hand (手渡し tewatashi), and staff meals (まかない makanai) are provided as a balanced daily set meal — particularly welcome for those living alone. No resume is needed, and the role involves minimal guest interaction, making it a comfortable fit for those who prefer quiet, focused work. Applicants must be aged 18 or over (Japanese labour law). A salary increase to 1,180円 is scheduled from 16 November 2026 onward.
