Job Description:
This is a hall and kitchen role at Hanamaru Udon on the 3rd floor food court of Aeon Mall Kofu Showa, twelve minutes on foot from Joei Station. The restaurant uses a self-service counter layout, so there is no heavy tray carrying — duties are divided into five simple positions: boiling noodles, frying tempura, topping bowls, dishwashing (食洗機 shokusenki — machine-assisted), and counter cashier and customer service (レジ reji). Staff in their 50s and 60s are actively working here, and the team is known for mutual support — ideal for those returning to work after time away. Staff meals (まかない makanai) are available at 70% off — popular with those watching their food budget, and udon is a healthy, filling option. Weekend and public holiday shifts carry a bonus of 100 yen extra per hour on top of the base rate. Shifts can be as short as three hours, submitted on a two-week cycle, with up to one full month off available with advance notice. Applicants whose first language is not Japanese must hold JLPT N2 or above. A Yucho Bank account is required before the first shift.
