Job Description:
This is a sales and customer service role at Sakakado Sohonpo, a historic Japanese confectionery brand founded over 130 years ago and famous for its prawn crackers (海老せんべい ebi-senbei), located one minute on foot from Funabashi Station in a department store setting. Duties include serving customers, cashier work (レジ reji), gift wrapping, accepting delivery orders, restocking shelves, managing inventory, and general cleaning. The shop runs on a small team of 2-3 staff per day, primarily women in their 40s, in a calm and courteous sales environment where each customer receives personalised attention for gifts and personal purchases. Shifts are 8 hours with a 60-minute break, five days a week including weekends and public holidays, with two days off per week on a rotating basis — at least one Sunday or public holiday off can be negotiated. Gift wrapping skills are a particular draw for those wanting to develop a refined retail skill set associated with premium Japanese confectionery. This position is a dispatch (派遣 haken) contract. High school graduation or above and some prior customer service experience are required. A minimum of 2 months is required.
Wage:
1,500円 (per hour)
