Job Description:
This is a retail sales role at a stylish cookie tin specialty shop inside Kyoto Takashimaya department store, directly accessible from Kawaramachi Station in Shimogyo-ku, Kyoto. Duties include customer service, cashier work (レジ reji), product display, basic inventory management, and gift wrapping including noshi (熨斗 noshi) traditional Japanese wrapping — a skill set typical of high-end department store retail. Shifts run 4-5 staff per slot, so questions can always be answered and you are never left alone. Choose from early (09:00-17:00), mid (10:00-18:00), or late (12:00-20:00) — each 7 hours working with a 1-hour break — and you can request to stick to just one time slot. From 3 days a week on a shift schedule; must be able to work at least one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday). Staff canteen, changing room, and lockable locker available on site. Brown hair is fine, and uniform is provided. Daily payment (日払い hibarai) and weekly payment available. No resume required. This position is a dispatch (派遣 haken) contract on a long-term basis.
