Job Description:
This is a hall or kitchen assistance role at Kaisen Ichiba, a popular seafood dining bar two minutes on foot from Ebisu Station (Yamanote Line) in Shibuya, Tokyo. Hall staff start with serving drinks and dishes, then progress to order-taking, guest seating, payment processing, and table clearing. Kitchen assistance involves prepping salads, plating, and simple frying — no fish filleting and no knife work required. The restaurant caters mainly to calm adult regulars who book ahead — there is none of the rush and pressure typical of chain izakaya, making this a relaxed environment to build service skills. Two shift windows are available: lunch 10:30-15:00 and dinner 17:00-23:30 — from as little as 1-2 hours and 1 day a week, with fixed-day patterns also negotiable for those who prefer a set schedule. Closed Sundays and public holidays. Pay is cash in hand (手渡し tewatashi); weekly payment is also available and daily payment can be discussed at interview. A free staff meal (まかない makanai) changes daily and uses the restaurant's own quality seafood ingredients. Hair, nails, beard, and piercings are all completely free. No resume needed.
