Job Description:

Work at Sushiro Sendai Ichibancho, a conveyor-belt sushi (回転寿司 kaiten-zushi) restaurant in the heart of Sendai's central shopping district, located in the basement of the Belmo-zu Building just 5 minutes from Aoba-dori Ichibancho Station. Sushiro uses automated systems for ordering, sushi-rice shaping, and plate counting, so the job focuses on hospitality rather than complex technique — greeting guests, serving drinks and special orders, handling payment at self-checkout, and keeping the floor clean and welcoming. Kitchen staff wash utensils and tableware, assist with sushi preparation (the rice is shaped by machine), prepare toppings, and cook rice. Training (研修 kenshuu) runs for 60 hours and pay does not change during that period. Shifts run from 3 hours and 2 days a week, with a weekly shift submission allowing you to adjust week by week. Weekend and public holiday shifts carry a 50-yen-per-hour bonus (土日祝手当 doyoubi-nichiyoubi-shukujitsu-teate). Late-night hours from 22:00 carry a higher base rate; shifts ending at midnight are available on some days. Advance pay (前払い maekyu) is available. High school students and those under 18 may work until 22:00 only.

Wage:

1,130円 (per hour) Late-night rate from 22:00: 1,413 yen/hour. Weekend and public holiday bonus: +50 yen/hour on all rates (maximum rate 1,463 yen/hour). High school student rate: 1,100 yen/hour (weekdays). Training rate (60 hours): 1,080 yen/hour general; 1,350 yen/hour from 22:00; 1,050 yen/hour for high school students. Salary increases (昇給 shoushou) available.
