Job Description:

Work as a parcel sorting and loading staff member at Sagawa Express Minami-Fukuoka depot in Fukuoka City's Minami Ward, one of Japan's major courier networks, 10 minutes walk from Takeshita Station on the JR Kagoshima Main Line. The role involves sorting incoming parcels by delivery region using belt conveyors, and loading them onto trucks. Conveyor equipment handles the heavy lifting, so physical strength is not a major concern. Sorting rules are taught by senior staff on the job, and no prior logistics knowledge is needed. The team culture emphasises mutual support — busy periods are handled collectively. Two shift options are available: a deep-night shift (22:00-07:00, 8 hours worked with 1 hour break) and a daytime shift (10:00-19:00, 8 hours worked with 1 hour break), both from 5 days per week. The 22:00-05:00 portion of the overnight shift carries a statutory deep-night allowance (深夜手当 shinya-teate) on top of the base rate. Salary increases are assessed twice yearly, and a bonus is paid twice yearly — unusual for part-time work at a logistics company. Note: second jobs (Wワーク) are not permitted for this role.

Wage:

1,100円 (per hour) Late-night allowance (深夜手当 shinya-teate): statutory 25% uplift for 22:00-05:00 hours on the overnight shift. Salary increases (昇給 shoushou): assessed twice per year. Bonus (賞与): paid twice per year (conditions apply).
