Job Description:

This is a kitchen staff role at the restaurant inside APA Hotel Sendai-eki Gohashi, a 2-minute walk from Gohashi Station and 8 minutes from JR Sendai Station in Wakabayashi-ku. Two levels of kitchen work are available: cooking staff handle ingredient cutting, mise en place preparation, and dish plating alongside professional chefs; cooking assistant staff handle simple plating and washing dishes and utensils. You start at the level that fits your current experience, with hands-on training from senior staff. Practical skills in Japanese and Western cuisine and kitchen operations can be developed over time. Shifts (シフト制 shifuto-sei) are submitted monthly and start from as little as 2 hours per shift and 2 days per week. Early morning slots (04:30-11:30, 07:00-12:00) and evening slots (17:00-23:00) are available, covering a wide range of schedules. Late-night shifts attract a 25% deep-night allowance (深夜手当 shinya-teate) from 22:00 to 05:00. Transportation is fully reimbursed. Foreigners are welcome provided Japanese proficiency is JLPT N1 level or equivalent. High school students may not apply. Nail art and tattoos are not permitted for food hygiene reasons; hair colour is permitted up to JHCA scale level 9.

Wage:

1,250円 (per hour) Cooking assistant staff base rate: 1,150円-1,400円. Late-night allowance (深夜手当 shinya-teate): 25% premium from 22:00-05:00 (up to 1,500円). Salary increase via grade system: up to 250円 per hour.
