Job Description:
This is a hall and kitchen staff role at Mutenくら寿司 (Kura Sushi) Suzuka, a major conveyor belt sushi (回転寿司 kaiten-zushi) chain with over 500 locations nationwide, a 5-minute walk from Suzuka Station in Mie Prefecture. Four work positions are available: floor staff handle customer service and the register; backyard staff handle ingredient and shari prep plus cooking tempura and udon; nigiri staff make hand-pressed sushi; gunkan staff prepare gunkan maki and aburi-style items. Most tasks are assisted by machines and tablets, keeping the learning curve gentle. Shifts (シフト制 shifuto-sei) are submitted monthly, starting from 3 hours per shift and 2 days per week. Weekday short shifts, weekend full-day shifts, and last-shift slots are all available. Shifts closing at 00:00 are available for those who can work until last. A 10% staff dining discount (みんな割 minna-wari) applies at all Kura Sushi locations from day one, rising to 20% after 7 months. Advance payment (前払い maebarai) is available on request (company rules apply). High school students and those under 18 may work until 22:00 only under Japanese labour law. Late-night shifts from 22:00 onwards pay a 25% premium.
Wage:
1,087円 (per hour)
Weekend and public holiday premium: 30 yen per hour above base. Late-night rate (22:00 onwards): 25% premium (up to 1,375円 including deep-night premium). Training period (50 hours): 1,087円. Salary increase available.
