Job Description:

This is a hall service staff role at an upscale Japanese cuisine restaurant (日本料理 nihon-ryori) a 1-minute walk from Hakata Station in Fukuoka City, catering to special occasions such as engagement ceremonies (結納 yuino), face-to-face family meetings (お顔合わせ okao-awase), and business entertainment. Duties include welcoming and seating guests, taking orders, serving food and drinks, clearing and setting tables, cleaning the restaurant, and managing supplies. Staff wear kimono (着物 kimono) — full instruction in kimono dressing and formal service etiquette is provided from day one through structured OJT training. The pace is calm and unhurried compared to a typical izakaya, with each table given attentive, personalised service. Three shift options are available: lunch (11:00-15:00), dinner (17:00-21:00), and a combined full-day slot (11:00-21:00 with 2 hours break). Minimum 4 hours per shift. The schedule follows a 2-rest-days-per-week pattern, with occasional weeks at 1 rest day. Free staff meals (まかない makanai) are provided on every working day. Transportation is reimbursed under company rules. Foreigners welcome — JLPT N2 or equivalent Japanese is required. Contract is renewable up to a maximum of 3 years.

Wage:
