Job Description:

Work as a cooking staff member at the in-house kitchen of a residential care home for the elderly (住宅型有料老人ホーム juutaku-gata yuuhou rouzin-hoomu) in Gifu City, operated by LEOC. Duties cover the full kitchen cycle for three daily meals: preparing a varied Japanese, Western, and Chinese menu (一汁三菜 ichiju-sansai style), adjusting food textures to suit each resident's needs, plating using individual meal cards (食札 shokufuda), washing dishes efficiently through the dishwasher and dryer, and doing the next day's ingredient prep including vegetable cutting and portioning. The role suits someone with home cooking experience - if you can boil rice, make miso soup, and handle basic heat cooking, you have the core skills needed. Three shift options are available: an early morning shift (早朝 souchou) from 06:00, a standard daytime shift from 09:00, or a later shift from 10:00 - each runs for 9 hours with a 1-hour break. A 3-month training (研修 kenshuu) period applies at the same hourly rate. Car, motorbike, and bicycle commuting are all permitted. No age limit for part-time staff; applicants in their 50s, 60s and 65+ are actively working here.

Wage:

1,300円 (per hour) Training rate (研修中 kenshuu-chuu, 3 months): same rate 1,300円. Salary increase (昇給 shoukyuu) available. Overtime and holiday work allowances paid.
