Job Description:

Work as a back-of-house kitchen staff member at Uoboshi, a seafood izakaya (居酒屋 izakaya) in Kashiwa City, Chiba, just 1 minute walk from Kashiwa Station West Exit. This is a kitchen-only role with no customer-facing duties - ideal for those who prefer to work quietly behind the scenes. Tasks start with simple plating and dishwashing, then build up gradually to vegetable prep (仕込み shikomi), assisting with frying and grilling, restocking ingredients, and kitchen cleaning. As a seafood restaurant, you will naturally pick up knife skills and knowledge of fish handling over time - practical skills that carry over into everyday cooking. Every task has its own lecture video and a 5-tier skills checklist, so progress is clear and self-paced; senior staff provide hands-on support throughout. Staff meals (まかない makanai) are available for just 200 yen per meal, and a 10% dining discount applies at all group restaurants. Daily payment (日払い hibarai) and weekly advance pay (前払い maebarai) are both available - apply 3 business days in advance to receive that week's earnings early. Shifts run from 10:00 through to 01:00 (displayed as 25:00) overnight; choose any 3-hour block or more within that window.
