Job Description:
Work as hall or kitchen staff at Kyoto Nijo Saryo, a Japanese washoku restaurant on the 5th floor of Urawa PARCO, just 2 minutes walk from Urawa Station East Exit in Saitama City. Hall staff start with guiding guests and serving food, then gradually take on order-taking, cashier duties, and drink preparation as confidence grows. Kitchen staff begin with plating and dishwashing, then move on to ingredient prep and simple cooking assistance - no cooking experience is required. Training starts on day one with a video overview of the store, and a senior staff member guides you through everything from day two onward. Salary is reviewed twice a year through a skills test system - passing tests on cashier operation, set menu cooking, or computer tasks earns pay rises of 10-20 yen per item; one member of staff earned a 40-yen increase in a single review round. Staff meals are subsidised at 70% off the lunch menu price. Shifts run between 10:00 and 23:00; choose any 3-hour block or more, from just 2 days a week; shift preferences are submitted weekly. A minimum contract period of 3 months is required.
Wage:
1,200円 (per hour)
Salary increase (昇給 shoukyuu) twice yearly based on skills tests; 10-20 yen per item passed. Transportation allowance paid within regulations.
