Job Description:

Work as a medical instrument processing staff member at a hospital in Yamashina Ward, Kyoto City, handling the cleaning, inspection, assembly, and packing of surgical tools such as scissors and forceps after use in operations. This is a behind-the-scenes support role - you will not have direct contact with patients at any time. Duties are divided among the team and include machine and hand-washing of instruments, inspecting and assembling sets, wrapping in specialist packaging, storing items in their designated locations, cleaning the operating theatre environment, and preparing consumable supplies. Full protective equipment is worn throughout - mask, goggles, gown, and gloves - and hygiene standards match those of medical staff, with thorough hand-washing and alcohol sanitisation. No qualifications or prior experience are needed; nearly all staff start from zero. Two shifts run on a two-shift rotation Monday to Saturday: an early shift (08:00-17:00) and a late shift (12:00-21:00), each with 1-hour break; Sundays and public holidays are off. An additional daily allowance (手当 teate) of 500 yen is paid on top of the base rate. Advance pay (前払い maebarai) of earned wages is available within company regulations. Access is by shuttle bus from Yamashina Station (about 15 minutes), or by car and motorbike (parking subject to availability). This is a long-term dispatch (派遣 haken) position.
