Job Description:
Work as hall or kitchen staff at a hybrid Japanese dining restaurant just 1 minute walk from Shijo Station on the Kyoto Municipal Subway Karasuma Line in Shimogyo Ward, Kyoto City. The restaurant runs as a casual authentic soba lunch spot during the day (one-coin 100% buckwheat soba) and transforms into a Kyoto ingredient-focused creative izakaya in the evening - a lively and varied environment serving both local regulars and tourists. Hall staff guide guests, take orders, serve food and drinks, and handle cashier duties; kitchen staff assist with plating and simple cooking preparation. A full-time employee (社員 shain) is always on shift, so there is always someone senior to ask if you are unsure. Shifts cover 11:00 to 22:00 on a rotating basis (8 hours actual work, 1-hour break); start times lean later in the day, meaning no early morning starts. This is a referral-to-direct-hire dispatch (紹介予定派遣 shoukai-yotei-haken) position: after a minimum 6-month dispatch period, both parties can agree to switch to direct employment as a full-time employee on a monthly salary of 210,000 yen or above with salary increase and bonus. High school graduate or above required. This is a long-term position with a minimum commitment of 2 months.
