Job Description:

This is a hall and kitchen support role at Yojiya Cafe (よーじやカフェ), a well-known Kyoto brand cafe near Shijo Kawaramachi, famous for its beauty products and traditional Kyoto aesthetic. You will greet customers, take orders, serve food and drinks, handle cashier duties (レジ reji), assist with light cooking preparation, and — once settled in — help sell the brand's popular cosmetic goods including oil-blotting paper, hand cream, and soap. The role suits anyone with a friendly manner; high-level service experience is not required, and chatting with tourists visiting Kyoto is part of the enjoyment. Shifts rotate across two slots — morning (09:30-18:30) and evening (13:30-22:30) — on a 5-day-a-week schedule including weekends and public holidays. Hair colour (including blonde) and nails are free — the brand welcomes self-expression from its staff. This is a 紹介予定派遣 (shokai yotei haken) contract: after approximately 6 months as a dispatch worker, both parties can agree to direct employment, with a monthly salary of 250,000-280,000円 and comprehensive benefits including a company housing allowance. Speakers of English, Chinese, or Korean are especially welcome given the high volume of international tourists. Late-night shifts ending at 22:30 are available — applicants must be aged 18 or over to work from 22:00 onward under Japanese labour law. High school graduates or above are required.

Wage:

1,400円 (per hour) Late-night premium (深夜手当 shinya-teate): 22:00-22:30 at 1.25x = 1,750円. After direct employment: monthly salary 250,000-280,000円, salary review annually, bonus twice yearly (July and December).
