Job Description:

Work as kitchen staff at Kyushu Ninjo Sakaba Uosei Omiya Nishiguchi, a seafood izakaya (居酒屋) in the basement of a building just 1 minute walk from Omiya Station. Kitchen duties include plating dishes, vegetable cutting and simple prep work, assisting with deep-frying and grilling, restocking ingredients, washing dishes and cooking equipment, and cleaning the kitchen. You start with easy tasks like plating and dishwashing (洗い場 araiba) and build up skills gradually. Working in a seafood izakaya means you naturally pick up knife skills and knowledge of fish — useful for everyday cooking too. Multilingual staff are welcome as the store also serves international guests. Shifts run between 10:00 and 01:00 (overnight) under a weekly self-reported shift system (シフト制 shifuto-sei). A minimum of 3 hours per shift from any point in that window, 1 day per week. Late-night work from 22:00 is for applicants aged 18 and over only (Japanese labour law).
