Job Description:
This is a kitchen staff role at Sakana Sakaba Uoboshi Mizonokuchi Nishiguchi (さかな酒場 魚星 溝の口西口店), a seafood-focused izakaya (居酒屋 izakaya) on the second floor of TIME FOTSUGIZAKI building, just 1 minute walk from both Mizonokuchi Station and Musashi-Mizonokuchi Station in Takatsu-ku, Kawasaki. Starting duties are light: plating dishes, simple vegetable prep using a knife, and washing up; as you gain confidence you will move on to assisting with fried and grilled dishes, restocking ingredients, and managing the kitchen area — all guided by a step-by-step video tutorial for every skill level. Working at a seafood restaurant gives you hands-on exposure to knife skills and fish knowledge that carry directly into everyday cooking — a popular benefit among student staff living alone. Advance payment (前払い maebarai) is available: apply 3 business days before the end of the period and receive that week's earnings the same week; daily payment (日払い hibarai) is also available. Shifts run from 10:00 to midnight (24:00) and you work a minimum of 3 hours; the schedule is self-declared each week with a minimum of 1 day per week. Staff meals (まかない makanai) are available at 200 yen per meal, and hair colour and style are unrestricted. Note: shifts after 22:00 are open to applicants aged 18 and over only (Japanese labour law).
Wage:
1,225円以上 (per hour) High school students receive the same base rate of 1,225 yen/hour. Salary increase: 10-30 yen per review, applied monthly, reflected in the following month's pay. Advance payment (前払い maebarai): that week's earnings paid same week (3-business-day advance application). Daily payment (日払い hibarai) also available.
