Job Description:
This is a combined kitchen and service role at Hotto Motto (ほっともっと), a popular Japanese bento chain, at the Takayama Okamoto store near JR Takayama Station. Kitchen tasks include vegetable prep, rice cooking, frying, and managing food expiry; service tasks include taking orders, cashier work, and recommending products to customers. A thorough manual and tablet-based training system (研修 kenshuu) means even complete beginners can get up to speed with confidence. Shifts are highly flexible — minimum 3 hours a day and 2 days a week — making this a great fit for students, homemakers, or those with a second job (Wワーク OK). Staff enjoy a 50% discount on all bento menu items and free drinks during shifts (まかない makanai). A monthly pay-rise system rewards skill progression, with average increases of 20 to 125 yen per assessment. Weekend and public holiday shifts earn an extra 50 yen per hour, and early morning shifts (05:00-08:00) earn an additional 100 yen per hour. Car and motorbike commuting are both permitted.
Wage:
1,150円 (per hour) Late-night allowance (深夜手当 shinya-teate): 1,438 yen per hour from 22:00. Weekend and public holiday bonus: +50 yen per hour. Early morning bonus 05:00-08:00: +100 yen per hour. Monthly salary increase system (average 20-125 yen per assessment). High school students start at 1,100 yen.
