Job Description:

This is a hall and kitchen staff role at a popular Japanese tea brand cafe inside Daimaru Kyoto department store in Shimogyo-ku, Kyoto, specialising in matcha sweets and light meals. Orders are placed by customers via QR code on their own smartphones — no handheld order-taking is required, removing the most stressful part of cafe service and making this very accessible for first-timers. Hall duties include guiding customers, processing payments, and serving and clearing — kitchen duties include plating parfaits and anmitsu, boiling udon, making warabimochi following a simple recipe, and washing dishes. Two shift options are available: an early shift (09:00-17:00) and a late shift (12:00-20:00), each with 1 hour of break and 7 hours of actual work, with minimal overtime under 5 hours per month. One of Saturday or Sunday can be taken as a day off each week — shifts are submitted monthly. Daily payment (日払い hibarai) and weekly payment (週払い shuubarai) are both available. No resume required. This is a long-term dispatch position.
