Job Description:

This is a hospital medical instrument cleaning and sterilization support role at a medical facility in Yamashina-ku, Kyoto, accessible from Shinomiya Station (Keihan Line) on foot or from Yamashina Station by circulating bus. Work involves washing used medical instruments (scissors, forceps and similar tools) by machine and by hand, inspecting and assembling instrument sets, packing in specialist sterile packaging, storing in designated locations, cleaning operating theatre environments, replenishing supplies, and preparing consumables — duties are divided among the team so no single person handles everything. No direct patient contact is involved. Full protective equipment is worn throughout: mask, goggles, gown, and gloves, with strict hand hygiene and alcohol disinfection protocols matching medical staff standards. No qualifications, medical knowledge, or prior experience are required — almost all staff start from scratch. Two shift options rotate: early (08:00-17:00) and late (12:00-21:00), running Monday to Saturday with Sundays and public holidays off. Staff who can rotate between both shifts are preferred. A daily allowance of 500 yen is paid on top of the base rate. Advance payment (前払い maebarai) is available. No resume required.
